Nikki. Michael. Awesomesauce. I love these two.

They were planning on doing the whole getting married thing on the top of this beautiful hill overlooking Bradley Lake at the remarkable Bluewater Farm but Mother Nature had a little something to say to say and in a ridiculously last minute miracle, Leslie and the rest of her miraculous team from The Wedding Belle transformed the lodge into something seriously fantastic. I was seriously impressed.

The day went off without even a hiccup - they have such a wonderful group of friends and family - some folks who can do some seriously boogieing as well as a grandmother who likes to get a little frisky with the photog on the dance floor. Who knew?! Fun times :] I now humbly present to you...

I think Kathy and Matt might have won the badass of the year award for their willingness... nay... EXCITEMENT at getting up while it was still dark to share their Together Session with the beautiful D.C sunrise. I have known Matt for many years - dating back to when we were little littles. I am hoping there are no audio [and video] recordings of the songs we used to write and parody. My pursuit of public office would be officially terminated.

So I was up just 4 short hours after my wedding the night before prepping and getting ready. Walking through the streets and monuments of D.C. when it is completely silent and still is just incredible. I stopped and chatted to a few park rangers about monument maintenance [cause I was curious] and even got to see and hang out with Ron who was treating the reflecting pool. Très cool. [there's a cool little image of him at work on my facebook page HERE.

Anyhoo... It was such a treat to spend some time with them both - we even got to bum around GW for a little bit [where they met]. Fun times. Can't wait to spend some more time with them at their celebration next September.

These came out great...I love them! I can't wait for the wedding!!!
I'll make sure the video recordings from the sessions in our basement during our Christmas get togethers don't go too far :)
