Somewhere over the bluffs in between the grazing animals and fields of hay being grown there is a family farm aptly named Grandview. Carey and John both live in NYC but decided to get married on the most beautiful farm I've ever had the pleasure of shooting at. How amazing for Carey to be able to tell her children that she got married at home.

They brought me in for the rehearsal dinner and I must say, it was quite a treat. Carey wore her grandmother's wedding dress - vintage green [awesome] - and seeing her grandmother's expression when she saw Carey in it for the first time... well... it's one of the reasons that I do what I do. My favorite part of the whole evening, you ask? Well, as you may remember, Carey is the voice for KY. [you can hear a clip or two here] So... when she announced that the wedding was sponsored by KY, everyone chuckled. How cute. Then came the samples. KY had lovingly sent along a little wedding present - tons of KY samples for everyone! The huge stock was passed around and everyone got their fair share of his and hers, intense, intense + warming, and some new thing that I can't pronounce but [ahem] looks awesome. So awesome. John is a HUGE hockey fan, and the Nashville Predators coaches sent along a picture of Carey and John at a game that they all signed. All in all it was a wicked good time.

So the wedding the following day. Nothing I can type will do any justice to the imagery from the day, so sit back, turn your speakers up, grab some popcorn as I humbly present,

the most beautiful story of Carey and John [click]

Carey and John, I am so sad you're moving overseas for a couple years but I can't wait to hear all about your adventures in a new land. You have an indescribable connection that adds so much beauty and joy to our world. For that and for you both I am eternally grateful.

seek the joy.
