Welcome to the :e: picture journal. Within these walls you'll find a mix of commissioned and personal work so feel free to subscribe or to just swing by whenever you're seeking... [hint: click on a big image and then use the L and R arrows on your keyboard to navigate through the rest]

This past year was an insanely busy one full of all sorts of ups and downs but due to the crazy nature of my schedule, I didn't have much time to sit and reflect... so that's what [hopefully] February will be for :]

Here are some random snapshots from my life this past fall. They are from California, DC, Vermont, Pennsylvania... Sam Abell once said, Who we are is the most important thing about photography. I think that's true. There's really not a whole lot about me that you can't learn from browsing through my imagery. Every image, whether it's a fly fisherman in Equinox Preserve or an elderly homeless person warming herself in the city sun, is somewhat autobiographical. It can't be helped. Where we decide to exist, when we decide to actuate the shutter, even our emotional state at the time... it's all in there. I guess you could view the images above as a self portrait from the fall. What's in there? Anxiety, solitude, curiosity, humor, struggle... and a million other things that I wrestled with this past year... onward and upward!

seek the joy
