Just a few bits ago, Natalie and Brian got married out in Lenox, MA in the very cool Seven Hills Inn. There were a whole bunch of awesome things that went on at the wedding, not the least of which was these two beautiful people pledging to spend the rest of their life together. That was just awesome. It was, in fact, awesome.

Here's a list of some of the awesomesauce that flowed like syrup that day ::

Pappa Joe [Natalie's dad] did all the flowers. It started off with 500 dozen and just grew from there.

Pappa Joe [Natalie's dad] made Natalie's dress.

Pappa Joe [Natalie's dad] made the bridesmaid dress.

Bad Dog did the worm.

Natalie and her brothers and sister tore the dance floor to pieces. To. Pieces. [so did Pappa Joe]

Andy King [of A & J Kings Artisan Bakers fame] was the JP and performed the ceremony

The Sharks beat the Bobcats in wiffleball.

The wedding was carbon neutral! Natalie and Brian bought enough credits to offset everybody's travel as a thank you :]

The dancing was something ridiculously ridiculous.

Almost everyone there was preggars.

Andy and I remembered how to play the Happy Puppy Song [from freshman year Colby 8 Rehearsals] at 2am on the parlor piano. We also stumbled through, like, the entire catalog of The Band.

Sean Foley and I talked about business and Godin and Gladwell and Chipotle and Wolfgang Puck into the wee hours of the morning.

yeah. good times for everyone :] enjoy a few of my favorite moments from the day!

You forgot to mention:

The crazy photographer singing the bass line to "Living on a Prayer" and remembering the dropped beat leading into the key change all while shooting amazing photos of people dancing while dancing himself.

Just want to leave a note from my neighbor. Joanna writes, "...I just watched the slide show of Natalie's wedding. I'm still crying.
That is the most artful, beautifully visual rendering of any wedding I have ever seen. Ever."

Straight, no Chaser is coming through the speakers as I type this. I think that Monk would have totally jived with these two people. Andrea and Phil are both creatives at one of the biggest ad agencies in NY [they actually met at an ad agency in Boston and have since relocated to Brooklyn...] and may, indeed, be tragically hip.

One of my favorite moments of the day is reflected in that first image above. The band was rocking - everyone was grooving out of a slow ballad into some rock/hip hop hybrid of a tune and Andrea and Phil just sort of stayed in their own little world. Everything was revolving, moving and, dare I say, gyrating around them but they were someplace else. I wonder what that feels like. To disappear completely and yet be utterly present with the person you've just committed to spending the rest of your life with. Powerful stuff :]

So anyways, I thought I'd take a quick minute to share a few of the beautiful moments that I witnessed from their wedding day at The Colonnade Hotel and the Arlington Town Hall. It was a celebration that truly reflected the individuals it was for - the ceremony was conducted by both a priest and a rabbi, the band was on the massive stage inside the Town Hall, and all of the details were created by the couple. Cooltown, U.S.A.

You are amazing with the camera! These photos are beautiful. It seems you've really learned to capture the essence of each of your couples through your work (or is it play?). Keep on!!
